Introduction

Thank you for installing our WordPress Theme. The complete procedure to configure and manage a WordPress Website from the beginning is shown in this documentation in different portions.

What is WordPress CMS?

WordPress is an open source tool which is based on PHP and MySQL to create websites. It is a completely free content management system(CMS) and a strong blogging platform. With this CMS, you can develop websites and solid online apps. You hardly require any knowledge or technical capability to manage it. What is a WordPress template

A WordPress template acts as a skin for the websites which are created on WordPress CMS. The installation of a WordPress Template is very easy. With the help of an installed new template, you can change the look of your WordPress website very easily. All the requisite source files are provided with a WordPress template and you can freely go for editing and increasing it the way you want.

Files structure

The template package you have downloaded consists of several folders. Let's see what each folder contains:

  • Screenshots : contains template screenshots. Not for production.

  • Theme : contains WordPress theme files.

  • tc-e-commerce-shop_0.3.4.zip : this folder contains all the necessary files for the theme.

  • license.txt : contains license details.

  • readme.txt : contain information about theme images path and font use and usage scritps.

Template Installation

Template installation is very easy process.

Step 1. Theme Installation

First thing you need to do is login to your WordPress admin area. Next, click on

All installation steps can be done within WordPress interface. It makes process comfortable and fast.

Go to the menu Appearance Themes.

Once you are on the themes page, click on the Add New button at the top.

Click on upload theme button.

Click on Browse Button then select your free-tc-ecommerce-lite.zip theme and click on Install Now Button..

WordPress will now install your theme and show you a success message along with the link to activate or live preview.

Congratulations, your theme have been successfully installed!

Step 2. Install a Theme using FTP

Your second installation option is to upload the theme via FTP. For this method first log into your site via FTP and browse to your folder located at wp-content/themes. Unzip the theme file you downloaded and upload only the extracted Total folder to your server.

Next log into your WordPress site and navigate to Appearance Themes to activate.

Fetch Demo Content

This theme supports the deafult Site Identity section provided by the Wordpress and we have integrated some options in this theme in this section.

Follow these instructions to setup homepage.

    1. Create Page to set template: Go to Dashboard >> Pages >> Add New Page.

    Label it "home" or anything as you wish. Then select template "custom home" from template dropdown.

    2. Set the front page: Go to Setting -> Reading --> Set the front page display static page to home page

    Once you have done with this you can see all the demo content on front page.

Theme Setup

Once you view your site after activating the theme, You will see the index page with the latest post. Now you will need to setup the home page template to show all the demo section on your front page.

Setup Top Header

In order to proceed with Top Header.

Go to Appearance Customize Theme Settings Top Header

Follow these instructions to setup Top Header.

  • Email : You can enter your mail id here.
  • Phone : You can enter Contact No. here.

Setup Social Icon Section

In order to proceed with Social Icon Section.

Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Theme Settings>> Social Icon.

Follow these instructions to set up Social Icons Section :

  • Add Youtube Link : You can add your youtube link here. As soon as you add youtube link here, an youtube social icon appears on the top-bar of your website.

  • Add Facebook Link : You can add your facebook link here. As soon as you add facebook link using this option, an facebook social icon will be displayed on the top-bar of your website.

  • Add Twitter Link: You can add your twitter link here. As soon as you add twiiter link here, you can see twiiter icon in the top-bar of your website.

  • Add RSS link: You can add RSS Link here. As soon as you add RSS link here, RSS icon will be displayed on the top-bar of your website.

Setup Slider

Follow these instructions to setup slider

1. Create a new page and name it as "slide1" or whatever you want, set it's featured image, title, and the content. Repeat this process for other slides.

In order to proceed with slider.

  • Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Theme Settings >> Slider Settings and select the page which you have created for slide1, slide2, slide3, slide4.

Select Slider Image page: You can Select slider Image Page i.e Home, Sample page, About Us, Contact Us,etc, You can choose from this options for each slider option. Even, you can edit any slider image page option, for that you need to go to pages section of admin navigation

Page Templates

  • Default Template (The default page template with a right sidebar position)

  • Home Page Template (Front page with the demo content)

  • Blog Template (A page template with right sidebar position)

Posts, Categories and Post Formats

Adding category

  • Log into your WordPress Administration Panel (Dashboard).

  • Click the Posts tab.

  • With that done, click Categories for blog posts.

  • Type in the name of your new category.

  • After that, click the Add New Category button.

Click the Publish button.

Creating a Blog post

  • Log into your WordPress Administration Panel (Dashboard).

  • Click the Posts tab.

  • Click the Add New tab.
